What Cookies Are

Cookies are tiny data files that a website may save in your browser to remember certain information during or between visits.

How RandomCount Uses Cookies

RandomCount uses cookies for three purposes:

  • Essential technologies: Enable core website features to operate properly and retain your saved cookie preferences.
  • Analytics: If enabled, Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our website and how we can improve it.
  • Advertising: If enabled, Google AdSense and its relevant partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure, and personalize advertisements, subject to applicable settings and consent requirements.

Most of our tools, including the word counter, the random generators and the image converters, run inside your browser, so what you type or upload stays on your device. The Background Remover is the one exception: your image is uploaded to our server and sent to remove.bg for processing, and both copies are deleted within 24 hours. Whatever you type, paste or upload into any tool is never stored in a cookie.

Third-Party Cookies and Google

Advertising partners such as Google may use cookies to tailor advertisements based on your browsing activity on this site and other websites, depending on your advertising settings.

RandomCount shows ads through Google AdSense, and Google decides which ads appear. Whether those ads are personalized depends on your choice. If you allow advertising cookies, Google and its partners may use them to personalize and measure ads. If you reject them, Google does not use advertising cookies on this site for personalization and may still show non-personalized ads, which are chosen from context such as the page content and your approximate location.

The IDE cookie belongs to Google's doubleclick.net domain, so RandomCount cannot read or delete it. You can delete stored cookies through your browser's privacy controls and adjust available Google advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings.

Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Managing Your Choices

You may update or revoke your cookie consent whenever the available settings allow. Your updated choices will be applied according to the website's consent system. The options for managing your preferences are outlined below.

  • Cookie settings: the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page reopens your consent options. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see Google's consent message, and everyone else sees our banner. When you withdraw consent, we tell Google's tags to stop using the affected cookies and delete the Analytics and AdSense cookies stored on randomcount.in. Cookies held on Google's own domains, such as IDE, stay until you clear them in your browser.
  • Google ad personalization: turn personalized ads from Google on or off in Google Ads Settings.
  • Other ad vendors: opt out of personalized ads from many companies at www.aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop Analytics on every site you visit.
  • Your browser: block or delete cookies using the guides for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.

Blocking all cookies may stop parts of some websites from working, and opting out of personalized ads means the ads you see will be less relevant, not that ads disappear.

6

Consent by Region

How consent works depends on where you are visiting from:

  • EEA, UK and Switzerland: analytics and advertising cookies are off by default. Google's consent message, a Google-certified consent management platform that supports the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, asks for your choice before they are used.
  • All other regions: analytics and advertising cookies are on by default, and our banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential cookies or choose by category. Until you make a choice, Google Analytics and AdSense may set their cookies.
  • California and other US states: rejecting advertising cookies in our banner opts you out of the use of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as described in the California section of our Privacy Policy.

We work out which option applies from your device's time zone and from whether Google's consent message is shown. If this places you in the wrong region, for example while using a VPN, the "Cookie settings" link and your browser controls remain available.

Google and other third-party vendors use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can manage or opt out of personalised ads at Google Ads Settings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
